Electrifying

You are electric,
the sight of you,
makes me ecstatic.
this is true.
you send jolts through my spine,
every time we touch,
and thats just fine.
it's never too much.
you stop my movement,
and stop my thinking.
and i stay content,
though i'm hardly breathing.
you still my heart,
yet it beats faster.
you give it a jump start.
you're my defibrillator.
all this from small contact.
your magnetic pull,
strongly attracts,
this poor fool.
You're very stunning,
paralyzing,
electrifying,
stupefying.
But I can't pull away,
not that I'd ever want to,
I hope you let me stay.
I really hope you do.
If only you knew,
what I feel each day,
when I'm without you.
the things I long to say,
every time we speak,
but I just can't talk,
I get too weak,
to the point I can't walk.
My mind grows numb,
when I hear your sweet voice,
I'm struck dumb.
and I have no choice,
but to look foolish,
but I don't mind,
this minor anguish.
when you're around,
I tend to freeze in place,
my heart skips a beat,
then starts to race,
and I can't retreat.
